POSITIVE ENERGY: RAISE YOUR VIBES | MINDSET

If you agree that everything is energy, like Einstein explained, then you also understand the concept that you are a vibrational being. In fact, everything in the universe is made up of energy vibrating at different frequencies.


Frequencies can be high and low, within us and around us. Here is where it's important to mentioned that: energy attracts like energy. Meaning that, if you are vibrating at a high frequency, it's likely that you will be attracting other people and situations that have "high vibes". And it works the same for low frequencies.


An easy way to know what frequency you are operating in, is by being aware of your emotions. Pay attention to your emotions. Emotions create feelings. How are you feeing? Check in with yourself every once in awhile. Feelings of anxiety, fear, sadness, depression, anger, stress, all are negative emotions and its an indicator that you are operating on a 'low frequency'. On the contrary, feelings of joy, happiness, faith, gratitude, inspiration, indicate you are operating on a 'high frequency'.




Some people say that it's impossible to be 'high vibing' (happy) all the time. Well, that depends on the person. If you are that person, well then good for you. But the idea is to learn how to get there, when you are not. The goal is to recognize when you are not feeling so 'peachy' and look for ways to rectify that.


You must become aware and acknowledge how you are feeling and then set in motion the steps necessary to take control of your thoughts in order to create positive emotions that will transform into positive feelings. This is not easy to do at first but with practice it does become easier.




10-WAYS TO RAISE YOUR VIBRATION -


1_ Become Aware of Your Feelings

When experiencing feelings of negative emotion, acknowledge them and say: "I understand that you are present and now I choose to focus on positive thoughts." Energy flows where attention goes. Don't feed the negative thoughts. Replace them with positive thoughts. The more you think about something (either positive or negative) you give it power, you are feeding it with attention. And what happens when you feed something: it grows!


2_ Practice Gratitude

A fast way to change your thoughts from negative to positive is by being grateful. At first, it may be hard to come up with things to be grateful for, specially if you are riding a low frequency wave. But even being grateful for the smallest things will work. The idea is to build from the small stuff. Such as, "I'm grateful for another day", "for the beautiful blue sky", "for my eye sight", "for my family", "the roof over my head", "this cup of coffee", "my job", "this book", "hot shower", etc. And you keep adding to the list.


What helped me, when I first started practicing gratitude, was writing a list. At first I could only come up with a few things to write... but once I got the hang of it, there wasn't enough room on one page. Finally, I got to the point where I started saying them aloud. Almost like a prayer. Don't underestimate the power of prayer. Funny, right? Some organized religions had this on point.


3_ Go Outside

Spending too much time indoors, sitting down, in the dark, without any exercise could be the reason for your low vibration. Fresh air can do wonders. Go for a walk. Not only does being active help with releasing endorphins, also known as 'the feel good chemical', but being outdoors exposes you to air, trees, maybe water (lakes, rivers, oceans), sun light, etc. which are all high vibing energy sources. Mother nature operates at a high frequency by design.


4_ Get Moving

Just as I mentioned in the previous paragraph, exercising releases endorphins. Get into a regular exercise routine and watch not only your overall health improve as well as your mental health. Not into exercising? No problem, clean the house, go for a walk or simply start dancing. Which brings me to the next bullet point.


5_ Listen to Music

Music can be incredibly powerful but make sure you are listing to the right tunes. Music and lyrics can affect you positively or negatively. So be mindful of the music you listen to. I didn't believe in the power of music until I tried it for myself. Listening to Bob Marley's "Don't Worry About A Thing" or Jimmy Cliff's "I can see clearly now" work wonders for me.


I'm also going to add to this point to be aware of the television shows and movies you are watching. They are streaming directly into your home, your sanctuary.


6_ Your Home Is Your Sanctuary

Everything in your home environment affects your vibration. You spend a lot of your time at home so make sure your home is vibing at a high frequency. We aware of paintings, photographs, decor, books, color of the walls. The way your furniture is arranged also creates energy.


Decluttering, cleaning and opening windows to renew air all help with raising your home's vibration which directly affects you. Getting rid of 'stuff' from the past, that no longer serves you, opens up vibrational waves for new things to come.


6_ Let Go

This statement holds true for 'things' you no longer need and for situations and/or people. Letting go also means, being able to forgive. Learning to forgive others, will lift a huge weight off your shoulders and propel you into a higher vibration. You don't forgive others for them, you forgive for you.


Not forgiving and continuing to talk about the problem you had with so-and-so, will only bring you more to continue complaining about. Forgiving and letting go will set you free and it will allow you to move forward and onward.


7_ Nurture Your Body

Even though I am guilty of not following this bullet point 100%, I can tell you that when I do I do feel the difference. Nurturing your body with the right whole foods (instead of processed foods) will make you feel 'lighter', more energy, less sluggish and help in your overall health. In the old country, they would find cures in foods and plants for certain symptoms.


Drinking water helps get rid of the toxins in your body. Toxins operate on a low frequency. In a way, when you consume water you are helping your body get rid of low energy toxins. For the same reason, it's important to limit the alcohol consumption and other substances that don't operate on a high vibration.


8_ Random Acts of Kindness

Help someone less fortunate than you. Donate. Mow your neighbors lawn. Surprise a family member or a friend with a little gift for no reason. And don't expect anything out of it. Doing nice things for others has the power to lift your vibration.


9_ Meditate

Now, this is a tricky one because not everyone knows how to meditate. However, you can start with 'guided meditations'. Meditation is a practice and that is really what it takes, practice. If you are well-versed in meditation, go for it. But in todays day and age, meditating means to simply quite your electronics and hopefully your mind.


Stay in silence and simply focus on your breathing for a few breaths. Or take a warm bath and relax. Even laying down for a for minutes looking at the ceiling and not really thinking about anything. Or simply going for a quiet walk.


10_ Do What Resinates With You

Now, all the above bullet points are suggestions of what helped me raise my vibration and what has helped others. However, you need to do what works for YOU. Anything that gives you feelings of joy, happiness, love, etc without hurting others is a great way to raise your vibration. It may be as simple as petting your pet, or getting your nails done or planning a vacation or setting a goal.
