GOLD ACCENTS TO GLAM UP YOUR SPACE | HOME DECOR

The last quarter of the year seems like the perfect time to spurs up your home decor. Let's face it, 'Holiday Season' is synonyms to family and friends coming over to visit, so it's always nice to refresh the decor.

Gold accents have been a trend now for some time and it doesn't seem like it's going anywhere. Adding a bit of gold or brass can make any room in your house look glamours and sophisticated.

Recently, I was able to glam up my living room with a little bit of gold touches without breaking the bank. Here's how I did it:

Our floors are very dark, so keeping the furniture in a neutral color palette crates a great balance.

I got the big sofas from Rooms To Go. They had two colors to choose from, we went with the lighter tones. The chairs are from City Furniture. However, I placed a throw pillow on each that came with the Rooms To Go sofas to tie it all in.

Purchased this gold side table from HomeGoods.

Found both this coffee table and decorative tray at HomeGoods.

First, I decided to add the gold touch on the side tables and coffee tables. I purchased one of the side tables at Target and the other two at HomeGoods. As a matter of fact, the coffee table in the middle is also from HomeGoods.

Then, I thought the walls could use some abstract wall art with a gold frame. I found these two at HomeGoods.

Finally, all the details around the room were purchased between HomeGoods, Marshall's, Target and even Walmart.

I wanted the chandelier to make a statement and be a more of an art piece in the room. That's why when I found this Sputnik on Wayfair.com I knew I had to get it.

To make the room feel warm and cozy, I knew I had to find the right area rug. After looking everywhere, I came across this one on Overstock.com. I ended up purchasing a few of my area rugs for the house on Overstock.
